Steward Medical Group (SMG), Inc. is Steward's multi-specialty group practice with over 4,500 employees including over 1,800 physicians and advanced practitioners. SMG operates approximately 450 practice locations throughout Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, and provides more than 4 million patient encounters per year.

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will support the growth of Steward Health Care System, specifically Steward Medical Group (SMG), by working with the Physician Services staff on duties associated with physician recruitment, provider contracting, provider on-boarding and tasks relating to existing providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Development/Salesforce
o Obtaining the business plans for weekly Business Plan meetings
o Adding and removing positions from the Salesforce system
o Adding and removing users from the Salesforce system
o Notifying SMG Finance of approved positions that have been added to Salesforce
o Closing positions in Salesforce when signed Employment Agreements are received in Physician Services
o Updating Salesforce to include new hospitals and new positions
o General clean-up of the Salesforce system

Physician Contracting
o Preparation of templated employment agreements, per diem and full-time
o Contract database management which includes uploading fully executed, updating existing contracts with changes and terminating expiring contracts.

Physician Compensation
o Processing and tracking physician terminations which includes termination check requests, signing bonus repayment, tail coverage payment, requesting TRACO tail coverage facesheets, etc.
o Bonus payment tracking

TRACO/Malpractice & Outside Activity
o Quarterly TRACO reconciliation
o Annual Board Certification review for TRACO discount
o Outside Activity tracking which includes monthly emails to new physicians requesting completion of mandatory Outside Activity forms, annual Outside Activity review, etc.


Provider On-Boarding
o Project management of large-scale onboarding
o Assisting the Provider Onboarding Coordinator with meeting new providers to complete credentialing packets
o Uploading credentialing paperwork onto SharePoint site
o Processing TRACO applications for Provider malpractice insurance

Miscellaneous
o Schedule meetings and calendar management
o Miscellaneous project work
o Manage distribution lists for various email groups
o Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
o High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
o Proficiency in Microsoft office products, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
o Ability to successfully multitask projects
o Excellent organizational and communication skills
o Solid judgment and problem solving skills
