Steward Medical Group (SMG), Inc. is Steward's multi-specialty group practice with over 4,500 employees including over 1,800 physicians and advanced practitioners. SMG operates approximately 450 practice locations throughout Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, and provides more than 4 million patient encounters per year.


Steward Medical Group is searching for a Supply Chain Coordinator tha twill serve as a key member on the SMG Supply Chain Team, based in Watertown, MA under the direct supervision of hte Senior Manager of Supply and Accounts Payable. Operations responsibilities include rostering new/updating existing physician practice locations with National GPO, managing vaccine rostering/purchases on a monthy basis wiht Med/Surg distributor, manage the process of centralizing the collection and storage of SMG contracts, create ordering procedural documents for operations to drive purchases to key contract vendors, and monitor/manage internal supply chain email boxes.


  • Rostering new sites with SMG's National Group Purchasing Organization, GPO
  • Manage/update GPOID's on the source of truth document for operations
  • Setup SMG Practices with access to order directly from approved national vendors
  • Train SMG end-users how to access Meditech to enter capital requisitions in Meditech/Lawson
  • Monitor/Update the SMG Intranet Site
    • Create procedural documents for the intranet site
  • Monitor/review/approve the electronic SMG New Item Request form
  • Manage the process of centralizing on SMG contracts into one location (services and supplies)
  • Manage and respond to the Supply Chain internal email boxes
  • Other duties as assigned
